John Parkin is the PMB Defence Batteries Operations Manager and is responsible for all aspects of contract and product delivery, new contracts, customer support, service and manufacturing procurement.  These responsibilities extend to relationships with all Commonwealth agencies and ASC.Before moving to Industry, John was an officer in the Royal Australia Navy where, as a Seaman Specialist, he served in Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers, Frigates and Patrol Boats.  He qualified as a Principle Warfare Officer with sub-specialisations in Communications and Electronic Warfare.  Having had both sea and shore command positions, he left the Navy in 2003 as a Commander.During the past nine years, Mr Parkin has been employed in the Defence and Resources industries, working in Program and Contract management roles with General Dynamics Land Systems (Australia), SANTOS (Oil and Gas) and now PMB Defence.
David is a Chemical Engineer with 25 years of experience in the resources and manufacturing sectors, holding engineering and production management roles in SME and blue chip companies including BHP, Pacific Dunlop Batteries, and Faulding Pharmaceuticals.David has a wealth of experience in managing manufacturing operations to achieve stringent quality, safety, and productivity standards and has managed the Production operations for PMB Defence Batteries since mid-2009.  
Brenton holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences from the University of South Australia and is currently completing a Master of Engineering Sciences degree at the University of Adelaide.  Brenton started at PMB in 2001 as a graduate from University, and has held the position of Senior Chemist and Environmental Compliance Coordinator for the past 11 years.  Recently, he was promoted to the role of Quality Assurance Manager, whilst still managing PMB Defences ISO14001 accreditation.  Brenton has a deep understanding of all PMB Defence manufacturing and Engineering combined with an expert appreciation of the underlying cell chemistry of our core product.
Simon started as a welder in the Polebridge section then moved to the Plates Department and Cell Assembly. Given the opportunity to learn all facets of battery making, quickly adapted and moved into the Quality Department in 1996. From 1996 until 2007 Simon simultaneously held positions covering Quality, OH&S, and assisted with Document Control and Environmental matters. One of the original members who played a major part in the company obtaining accreditation to ISO standards 9001, 14001 and ASNZS 4801. Since 2007 he has held the position of Production Supervisor with now a primary focus on Production and Training.

Simon comes from a back ground of Quality having worked at Tubemakers of Australia for 10 years in both their BTM and Bundy Tubing divisions in both Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Simon has completed Advanced Certificates in Computer Programming, Professional Certificate in  Management, Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing and Lean Management Skills as well as certificates in Training.
Van holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (major in Industrial Chemistry)  & Associate Diploma in Applied Chemistry from University of South Australia. He is currently studying a Masters Degree (major in lead acid battery research) at University of Adelaide.Van has over 14 years’ experience working with lead-acid batteries at Exide Technologies, working in support of the production line, research and development into new products and setting and running test regimes for both new and existing products. He is now working for PMB Defence Engineering working on research and development of new battery technologies.
